Phát triển hệ sinh thái khởi nghiệp đại học: Kinh nghiệm từ Đài Loan và Thái Lan

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), innovative startup entrepreneurship is a crucial driver of economic growth, compelling universities to expand their role into becoming hubs of the startup ecosystem, connecting knowledge with the market. Experiences from National Taiwan University (Taiwan) and Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) illustrate effective models: National Taiwan University established the Taidah Entrepreneurship Center, implementing a full chain of incubation - acceleration - corporate collaboration, along with the NTU Ventures fund linked to the Hsinchu Science Park; meanwhile, Chulalongkorn University developed the Innovation Hub, the CUBI incubator, and the Siam Innovation District in central Bangkok, coupled with CU Enterprise specializing in research commercialization. These models create a coherent startup value chain, addressing industrial and societal needs. The practical implication for Vietnam is the necessity of establishing Specialized Entrepreneurship Centers, implementing transparent funding and commercialization mechanisms, strengthening linkages with industrial parks and urban innovation spaces, and integrating entrepreneurship into curricula to nurture an entrepreneurial culture. Overall, these actions will help Vietnamese universities maximize the impact of research, foster innovation, and achieve sustainable development.
