In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), which is exerting profound impacts on higher education, English proficiency has become one of the core competencies enabling students to integrate into the global environment. This article analyzes the theoretical framework, assesses the current situation, and proposes solutions to develop English competence for students majoring in Art Education. The research findings indicate that although students demonstrate a high level of awareness of the importance of English, their actual proficiency remains limited. This situation calls for systematic solutions that integrate technology and are closely aligned with professional characteristics.
