Tóm tắt

In the context of the increasingly widespread application of artificial intelligence in medical education and academic research, this study aimed to assess the current status of AI use in learning and research among postgraduate students at Viet Nam University of Traditional Medicine. The study employed a cross-sectional descriptive design with an analytical component, collecting data through an online survey of 505 postgraduate students, including Specialist Level I, Specialist Level II, resident physicians, and master’s students, during the 2025-2026 academic year. The results showed that 98.6% of the students had used AI, with ChatGPT being the most commonly used tool; AI was mainly used for searching medical literature, supporting thesis/article writing, and summarizing lessons; most students perceived AI as useful but trusted it only to a moderate extent, while optimism, innovativeness, and attitudes toward AI were positively associated with students’ perceptions and intention to continue using AI. The study indicates the need for official guidelines, skills training, and regulations to promote the safe and responsible use of AI in medical education.
