In the context of digital transformation, transforming the value of historical events into qualities and abilities for students to meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program is essential. In order to innovate teaching methods in the direction of promoting students' positivity, initiative, creativity and self-study competence, the construction of digital learning materials is becoming popular. This article develops a process and package of digital learning materials with historical content (the case of “Ho Chi Minh Campaign in 1975”) for 5th grade students to meet the requirements of digital learning materials, especially focusing on integration, differentiation (development), interaction, etc. Research results show that there is a fundamental difference when using digitized historical documents and digital learning materials with historical content ( built from the goals, requirements to be achieved, student characteristics and current educational context) in educational activities. Therefore, in the future, it is necessary to research and expand and develop digital learning materials with historical content for students.
