Orienting vocational education right from the high school program will help students have many choices in determining their future careers and establishing the right learning and development path, helping students maximize their potential strength, have more advantages when looking for future job opportunities. In fact, not all students are capable of career orientation, there is still a situation of not paying attention or not paying enough attention to career orientation, causing young people to lose time, opportunities, and especially wasting human resources. The article analyzes and clarifies the theoretical basis of career-oriented competence, and at the same time summarizes the factors affecting the development of career-orientation competence for high school students, thereby proposing a number of methods and procedures to organize activities in the school to develop career orientation competence through experiential and career guidance activities for students at Edison High School, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province. Using theoretical research methods and pedagogical observations, the article has affirmed that developing career-oriented competence for current high school students is important and associated with comprehensive personality development for high school students.
