In the new era, the young generation of Vietnamese students - the future owners of the country - need to preserve and develop traditional family values as well as accept new values of modern families, increasing the connection in each family - the cell of society, the solid spiritual support of each individual. To achieve this noble goal, educating the young generation is the responsibility of the family, the school and the society; in which the role of the school is very important. The article analyzes the current status of the process of educating family values for students in pedagogical schools, specifically on the current status of implementing educational goals and contents, using methods and forms of educational organization in the teaching process and organizing educational activities oriented to family values for students through a survey of 159 lecturers of the following schools: Hanoi National University of Education, University of Education - University of Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. The survey results will be the basis for proposing recommendations and solutions to improve the effectiveness of family value-oriented education for pedagogical students-future teachers who will spread the good values of Vietnamese families to younger generations.
