In the context of higher education increasingly focusing on comprehensive training quality, academic advisory activities play a key role in supporting students in developing their learning capacity, career orientation and adapting to the university environment. However, the reality at many higher education institutions shows that the management and implementation of academic advisory activities are still formal, ineffective and have not been properly invested. The study proposes the academic advisory club model to improve the effectiveness of managing academic advisory activities in higher education institutions and the initial results when implementing this model at Dong Thap University through a survey of academic advisors and students. The results show that the model is highly feasible, has positive initial effects and has the potential to be replicated in the higher education system. The academic advisory club model not only contributes to strengthening the connection between lecturers and students, but also creates a space for effective academic exchange and psychological support. This is a potential direction that needs to be further researched, improved and expanded in the future.
