Tóm tắt

Psychological difficulties among high school students are an important educational concern, and access to support is influenced by both individual attitudes and the school support environment. This study examines the relationship between school-based support conditions and psychological support effectiveness/access to help among 916 high school students in Ho Chi Minh City. Data from the survey were analyzed using descriptive statistics, comparison tests, correlation and multiple regression. Students reported high levels of physical/mental health concerns (M = 4.47), learning-related problems (M = 4.42) and family relationship difficulties (M = 4.13). They mainly sought support from trusted teachers (M = 4.47), psychological staff (M = 4.41) and homeroom teachers (M = 4.13). School social work and counseling activities were perceived as frequently implemented. Regression results showed that personnel-related factors, policy mechanisms and school/program conditions significantly predicted support effectiveness and access facilitation (R² = 0.51; F = 48.63; p < 0.001). The findings highlight the importance of a trust-based school support ecosystem and suggest strengthening teacher capacity, professionalizing counseling/social work services and improving coordination among schools, counselors and parents.
