Các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến ý định bỏ học trong giáo dục nghề nghiệp trình độ trung cấp: Nghiên cứu trường hợp tại Trường Trung cấp nghề Nga Sơn
Tóm tắt
Dropping out of vocational education at the intermediate level directly impacts the effectiveness of training and the supply of skilled labor to the locality. This study aims to identify factors influencing students' decision to drop out at Nga Son Vocational College, using a mixed-methods approach, combining training management data from courses K13-K15 and a survey of 312 students using a 5-level Likert questionnaire. The study shows that the dropout rate increased from 21.4% in course K13 to 37.8% in course K15, mainly concentrated in the first year. Regression results indicate four factors positively influencing the decision to drop out: inappropriate career choice motivation, difficult family economic circumstances, limited awareness of post-training employment opportunities, and an unsuitable training program; among these, career choice motivation has the strongest influence. The research findings suggest that schools need to strengthen career counseling, provide early support to disadvantaged students, collaborate with businesses, adjust training programs, and build an early warning system for the risk of dropping out.
