Đề xuất quy trình sử dụng biểu tượng xúc giác phát triển kĩ năng giao tiếp cho trẻ khiếm thị kèm rối loạn phổ tự kỉ
Tóm tắt
Visually impaired children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) face significant barriers to communication and social interaction due to the combined impact of these two disabilities. This article examines the process of using tactile symbols-an suitable communication tool for this group of children, whose primary channels for receiving information are auditory and tactile. Through an analysis of relevant theories and a synthesis of both international and domestic research, the author proposes a four-step process for using tactile symbols to develop communication skills in visually impaired children with ASD: (1) selecting appropriate symbols; (2) designing the symbols; (3) teaching the children to understand the symbols’ meanings; and (4) practicing in real-life situations. The findings serve as a valuable resource for teachers and parents, helping them support the development of communication skills in visually impaired children with ASD, thereby enhancing the children’s quality of life and ability to integrate into society.
