Educating students on social networking skills plays an important role, aiming to equip them with knowledge about basic rights and obligations in using social networking services; orienting awareness and adjusting behavior to exploit and use social networking safely and effectively. The survey results through questionnaires with 122 managers and teachers at 4 secondary schools in Long Bien district, Hanoi city on the purpose, content, methods and forms of educating social networking skills show that teachers have a correct understanding of the role of schools in educating social networking skills; however, there are still some shortcomings in implementing the content, methods and forms of organizing social networking skills education for students. The survey results are the basis for proposing measures to overcome difficulties affecting the process of educating students on social networking skills, thereby improving the effectiveness of this skill education.
