The context of digital transformation being strongly implemented in Vietnam has made digital life an indispensable part of high school students, which at the same time increases online threats, creating an urgent need for cyber safety education to protect them. Survey results at Luong The Vinh High School, Hanoi show that the majority of students are still limited in personal selfprotection, risk identification and safe behavior when participating in the online environment. Cyber safety education in schools only focuses on basic skills such as searching for information or civilized behavior, while other important contents such as citing sources, respecting copyright or using security tools are less focused. Teachers mainly integrate content into subjects, organize extracurricular activities or invite experts to exchange. Among them, extracurricular activities and clubs are considered the most effective by students, while forms based on online resources have not yet been effective. Three groups of measures are proposed based on practice, including: strengthening propaganda to raise awareness, building specialized programs and documents, and organizing experiential activities and competitions to train students in practical cyber safety skills to improve the effectiveness of cyber safety education for students.
