Xây dựng và sử dụng trò chơi điện tử trong dạy học nội dung “Xác suất” (Toán 4)
Tóm tắt
Within the 2018 General Education Curriculum, which emphasizes experiential learning and the development of mathematical competence in primary students, the integration of digital games into probability instruction represents a promising pedagogical approach. This study aims to design and evaluate the effectiveness of using digital games to teach the topic “Probability” in Grade 4 Mathematics, with the goals of fostering probabilistic intuition through repeated experiments, enhancing student engagement and data analysis skills. The research established a set of design principles for age-appropriate digital games, developed three prototype multi-platform games aligned with fundamental probability situations, and proposed a corresponding instructional model accompanied by assessment tools. Experimental findings indicate a significant increase in student engagement and an improvement of approximately 45-52% in postinstruction test scores. These results suggest that digital games can serve as an effective tool for innovating probability instruction in primary education, contributing to improved learning outcomes and higher levels of student participation.
