In the context of educational reform in Vietnam and the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program, ensuring and effectively managing physical facilities and teaching equipment has become an important condition for organizing teaching activities in primary schools. This article analyzes the current situation of managing physical facilities and teaching equipment in public primary schools in Phu Nhuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, through a survey of administrators and teachers. The survey results show that participants highly appreciate the necessity of physical facilities and teaching equipment for teaching activities. Management aspects such as procurement, use and maintenance, inventory and disposal of equipment were rated at a fairly good level, and there was similarity in the evaluation methods between administrators and teachers. Based on this, the study proposes several directions to improve the efficiency of managing and using teaching facilities and equipment, thereby ensuring the conditions for organizing teaching and supporting the improvement of primary education quality. These results also provide a practical basis for improving the management of teaching facilities and equipment in primary schools, thereby enhancing the efficiency of educational management at this level.
