Heritage education in the context of digital transformation through the use of web applications has emerged as one of the most prominent approaches in contemporary community education. Online discourse surrounding the Whale Worship Belief (Tín ngưỡng thờ cá Ông) is abundant; however, it is often fragmented, poorly structured, and difficult to utilize directly for diverse audiences, including school pupils, university students, tourists, and local communities. This situation highlights the urgent need to develop a practical and context-appropriate web-based model. Using a qualitative case-study design grounded in Ecolinguistics, the study analyzes 29 folk tales and 185 digital media sources related to the Whale Worship (Cá Ông) tradition. The analysis shows that these materials contain multiple layers of knowledge that can be transformed into digital learning resources, while also identifying key motifs, symbols, and interpretive frameworks concerning the relationships among humans, the sea, Cá Ông, and coastal communities. Based on these findings, the article develops the Web model “Nam Hải Thần Tích”, which integrates folk tales, a digital heritage map, media resources, and interactive tools to transform the research findings into a structured digital learning system. The Web is designed to support heritage education and cultural learning experiences for diverse user groups; however, its educational effectiveness requires further empirical validation.
