Tóm tắt

In the context of the 2018 general education reform in Vietnam, the study conducted a scoping review on school administrator professional development based on the PRISMA-ScR standard using Scopus (1987-2026). Screening 635 articles yielded 257 articles for in-depth analysis (Group A: 45 articles, Group B: 66 articles, Group C: 146 articles) and 61 full-text readings. Using bibliometric methods and thematic coding, the study identified: (1) the field's bibliographic landscape; (2) experiences from five leading countries; (3) distribution and evidence of effectiveness according to the 4×3 training method matrix, which serves as a theoretical framework to systematize administrator training methods; and (4) specific lessons for Vietnam. This study aims to contribute a comprehensive picture based on solid scientific evidence regarding the training of general education administrators.
