Tóm tắt

Within the domain of education, the attainment of elevated academic prowess and the possession of adaptness in integrating with both the school community and the broader society are perennially deemed pivotal factors contributing to an individual's success within the societal milieu. Accordingly, the present investigation endeavors to gauge the level of emotional intelligence evinced by students across diverse disciplines at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, while concurrently delving into the influence exerted by emotional intelligence on academic achievement and social competence. The cohort for this study comprised 339 students majoring in health science, social science, economics-business, and engineering technology. Analysis of the research data has revealed a positive correlation between students' emotional intelligence scores and their social competence, yet the association between emotional intelligence and academic performance remains less evident. Furthermore, the research has probed comprehensively into distinct facets of the subject matter, thereby uncovering variations in how students perceive their own emotional intelligence and social competence in relation to their respective academic disciplines.
