Puppetry have long been considered an attractive pedagogical tool for pre-school children. Engaging in activities with puppets helps children learn through playing in an active and enjoyable way. Based on the analysis and synthesis of world research data on this issue, the article focuses on clarifying the theoretical basis including the concept and characteristics of puppetry for pre-school children and the role of puppetry disturbance to children's development. Analysis results show that using puppetry in pre-school education will help children develop language and communication skills; enhance creativity in children; create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes children's participation; developing emotions and social skills while contributing to children's aesthetic education. Therefore, integrating puppetry activities into the preschool education program is extremely necessary. Puppetry is truly meaningful for children's comprehensive development.
