Currently, Korea's development has an extremely important contribution from educational reforms - including the field of lifelong learning and education. One of the important legal documents on education in Korea is the Law on Lifelong Education (first promulgated in 1999, fully revised in 2007), creating a legal corridor for the organization and effective implementation of education. results of lifelong learning programs and activities across the country. This article presents an overview of the basic content of the Lifelong Education Act and its impact on educational practice in Korea, which regulates: the scope of application of lifelong education; system of management and direction of lifelong education from central to local levels; the establishment of the National Institute for Lifelong Education (NILE) and the roles and responsibilities of governments at all levels from central to regional and local levels in promoting lifelong education; from there, we provide some policy recommendations for building and perfecting the legal framework for lifelong learning in Vietnam.
