Tóm tắt

In the context of Vietnamese education increasingly focusing on teaching quality and teacher development, teachers' job satisfaction and engagement are important factors that not only affect teaching effectiveness but also affect motivation and career commitment. This study found that primary school teachers' job satisfaction and engagement were quite high. In addition, while there is no statistically significant difference in overall job satisfaction between public and private school teachers, public school teachers reported higher satisfaction in terms of nature of work, pay, benefits, and communication. On the other hand, private school teachers are more satisfied with their operating conditions. Regarding engagement, public school teachers exhibit higher engagement across all aspects, including cognitive, emotional, and social interactions with students and colleagues. This will be a useful basis for building appropriate educational policies, thereby contributing to improving teachers' motivation and teaching competence.
