Giáo dục tích hợp trong dạy học tiếng Anh cho học sinh khu vực nông thôn: Một nghiên cứu tại Thành phố Hà Nội
Tóm tắt
The inequality in English access between students in urban and rural areas is posing many challenges to general education in Vietnam. In response to this situation, several educational institutions have implemented innovative models to expand the foreign language environment in schools. This article focuses on analyzing the integrated education model implemented at Bat Trang Primary School, Hanoi, in which English is combined with subjects such as Local History, Music, Fine Arts, Information Technology, as well as learning projects and extracurricular activities. The model has many similarities with the “CLIL” method - Content and Language Integrated Learning, which allows students to use English naturally in academic and social contexts, while enhancing their interest in learning. The research results show the feasibility and initial positive impacts of the model, and propose necessary conditions for replication, including enhancing teachers' pedagogical skills and integrating technology in teaching English as a second foreign language. The article contributes to providing a practical basis for developing integrated educational models suitable for rural conditions in the context of current foreign language education transformation.
