Thực trạng kĩ năng nghe và nói tiếng Anh của sinh viên ngành Du lịch: Điển cứu tại Trường Đại học Khoa học xã hội và Nhân văn - Đại học Quốc gia Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh

English listening and speaking skills not only play a crucial role in the era of globalization but are also significant for the success and professional competence of students majoring in Tourism. In this study, the author conducted research at the Tourism Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, National University Ho Chi Minh City. With the quantitative approach, the author collected 539 questionnaires out of a total of 817 students. The research shows most students rate their English listening and speaking skills as average. The percentage of students without certification accounts for over 80%. On that basis, the article proposes a number of solutions to improve students' English listening and speaking skills such as preparing English certificates, designing more in-depth English modules, enhancing novelty and effective in teaching methods, regularly evaluating and improving student awareness.
