In educational institutions, policies of credit-based training curriculum play an essential role since they affect learning outcomes and knowledge for the future career of each individual student. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors affecting the among Business Administration students’ decision on selecting elective courses at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. The research results based on SPSS 23.0 highlight four factors affecting the Business Administration students’ decision on selecting elective courses: (1) Personal factors, (2) Course characteristics, (3) Environmental factor, and (4) Lecturers. Subsequently, the authors determined and evaluated the level of impact of these factors, then made appropriate recommendations to improve the training quality, support students’ decision - making process with elective courses and improve learner support.
