Nowadays, Internet addiction is becoming more common, especially among adolescents, and it can cause negative impacts on their physical and mental health. Therefore, the issues of Internet addiction need to be raised and carefully studied. This article presents some issues of Internet addiction in adolescents, including: (i) the current situation of Internet addiction in adolescents in the world and in Vietnam; (ii) symptoms of Internet addiction; (iii) causes of Internet addiction in adolescents, (iv) factors affecting Internet addiction in adolescents; (v) effects of Internet addiction on adolescents. The research results are an important theoretical basis for us to have a more general view of Internet addiction in adolescents, and a premise for us to be able to conduct more in-depth studies on the causes, factors affecting, and effects of Internet addiction on the lives of adolescents... thereby having effective and appropriate prevention and intervention measures.
