In the context of the current complex and unpredictable developments in the international, regional and domestic context, military and national defense work is an important and regular task to meet the requirements of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation. This is of great significance to Son La province, which has a geostrategic position in terms of defense and security in building a solid defense posture and protecting the northwestern border of the Fatherland. The article focuses on clarifying the position, role and importance of local military and national defense work in Son La province; thereby proposing a number of solutions to improve the effectiveness of local military and national defense work. It is necessary to comprehensively, synchronously, closely and effectively implement the above solutions under the leadership of the Party Committee, government, armed forces, and the united efforts of all classes of people in the whole province so that the military and national defense work in Son La province only achieves high results.
