In the context of Vietnamese higher education reform to improve training quality and meet labor market needs, this article assesses the current situation of full-time graduates at the University of Science - Thai Nguyen University. Data were collected from 879 graduates from 05 main training majors including Social Work, Law, English Language, Tourism and Travel Services Management and Management Science. The results show that the on-time graduation rate ranges from 48.18% to 68.75% depending on the major. 79.8% of students have jobs after one year, of which 39.88% work in the right field, 43.39% work related to the training field and 15.91% work in the wrong field. The majority of students are satisfied with the training program, but feedback on limitations in specialized content and lack of soft skills. Employers highly appreciate students’ abilities but believe that practical skills and the applicability of the training program still need improvement. From there, the study discusses and recommends updating professional content, enhancing soft skills and practical training, and promoting cooperation between schools and businesses to improve output quality.
