Students at the University of Sciences of Thai Nguyen University come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and are trained in many different professions. The awareness of University of Science students about using artificial intelligence (AI) in learning is currently attracting the attention of both students and the University. For the purpose of clarifying students' perceptions on how to use AI in learning activities, through document research and sampling methods, questionnaire surveys, research results indicate that although there are specific characteristics of ethnic origin, students at the University of Sciences are well aware of the use of AI in learning activities, and are also aware of the benefits and limitations that AI brings for their self-study activities. The study also opens up a number of research solutions to limit the negative effects of AI and issues of attitudes and ethics in applying AI to student learning.
