Tự đánh giá tính liên kết và tính mạch lạc trong đoạn văn nghị luận tiếng Anh của sinh viên năm thứ hai chuyên ngành Ngôn ngữ Anh: Một nghiên cứu tại Trường Đại học Công nghiệp Hà Nội
Tóm tắt
Cohesion and coherence are two important components that contribute to clear and convincing argumentative essays. However, Vietnamese students majoring in English language often encounter difficulties in organizing ideas and using cohesive devices effectively. The study employs questionnaires to investigate how second-year English majors at a university in Vietnam selfassess the cohesion and coherence of their English argumentative paragraphs. The results indicate that the students have difficulty explaining and evaluating the cohesion and coherence in their English writing. The study contributes to providing practical evidence on students' awareness and self-assessment ability, and suggests directions for improving writing teaching activities to enhance the quality of training coherence and coherence in English argumentative paragraphs.
