Sử dụng kĩ thuật “Chương trình trò chuyện” (talk show) trong dạy và học học phần “Phân tích diễn ngôn” cho sinh viên chuyên ngành tiếng Anh
Tóm tắt
Teaching specialized courses, especially in a foreign language, requires teachers to constantly be creative and apply different teaching methods and techniques to help learners acquire the specialized knowledge effectively. One of the teaching techniques that can be taken into consideration is the ‘Talk show’ technique. In the classroom using this technique, teachers and students participate in a novel T.V. program in which students play the role of the host, guest speakers and studio audience. The use of this technique provides students an opportunity to engage in a new and engaging learning activity. In this article, the principles of this technique, the procedure of conducting a talk show, and its advantages as well as disadvantages will be discussed in detail. Hopefully, the article would be a useful reference for EFL teachers.
