Xây dựng mô hình phong cách lãnh đạo của lãnh đạo trường giáo dục thuộc Đại học Quốc gia Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh

The research and development of leadership styles for leaders of the School of Education, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City play an essential role in the development of the school given its strong impact on the school’s operational efficiency, manners of managerial staffs as well as their inferiors, and other stakeholders’ benefits. This study aims to clarify the concepts and models of leadership in education; characteristics and qualities in leadership styles of leaders in higher education and propose a model of leadership style for leaders in the School of Education, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The result reveals poorly completed tasks and managers with low credibility mainly due to inappropriate leadership styles rather than incompetence or inappropriate attitude, or insufficient facilities. Therefore, developing a proper leadership style for leaders of the School of Education, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City is an urgent, fundamental and long-term mission.
