Governance plays an important role in the operation of a university. Based on clarifying basic concepts, the meaning and the significance of university governance, the article thoroughly analyzes the key issues of university governance, including: Mission statement, vision and strategic goal setting of the university; Planning and making decisions on policies and directions of the university in terms of human resources, academics, and finance; Decentralization and exercise of power in the university; Establishing a relationship of interests and responsibilities within the university and between the university and stakeholders; Building the university's core values and brand; Monitoring and evaluating achievements of university goals. Mastering the key issues of university governance, schools will manage their activities well.
