Political theory education is an important content in Ho Chi Minh’s thought on education. His thought has profound theoretical and practical value, directing and orienting the theoretical and ideological work of the Party in the past as well as in the present period. In the process of leading the revolution, our Party has always been loyal and correctly and creatively applied Ho Chi Minh’s thought on political theory education. Currently, in the face of the increasing requirements of ideological and political work in the new period and from the practice of political theory education for cadres and party members over the past time, especially educational methods, there are still many shortcomings that require creative application of his thought to innovate the method of political theory education for cadres and party members. The article presents the basic contents of Ho Chi Minh’s thought on the method of political theory education for cadres and party members and the application of his thought in renewing the method of political theory education. Good implementation of the above measures will directly contribute to limiting the deterioration of political ideology, morality, lifestyle and other negative manifestations of a part of cadres and party members in our country today.
