Tóm tắt

Today, social media is being seen as a platform that thoroughly serves educational purposes. This study was conducted to survey the current situation of awareness and application of social media of English teachers in Vietnam. By surveying and interviewing English teachers, research shows that most English teachers in Vietnam are aware of the importance and use of social media in their lessons. They claim to have tried to apply various types of social media in different forms; however, the application of social media in their lectures is also influenced by many factors such as lecture content, lesson design time, or infrastructure. The study also proposes some recommendations to improve the awareness of English teachers in Vietnam about social media; thereby, improving the effectiveness of the application of social media in teaching English in Vietnam.
