Tóm tắt
In the current context of integration and globalization, English has become an important communication tool in many different work environments. According to the regulations of the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages, in the process of learning English, students must learn all four skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing and often encounter many difficulties in learning English Listening skills. Research results show that there are 25 main reasons why students at Can Tho University always have many difficulties when practicing English Listening skills. On that basis, we propose a number of measures to help lecturers develop English Listening skills for students and methods for English learners to enhance self-study and improve their listening comprehension competence to meet the urgent need for the goal of improving the foreign language proficiency of students at today's universities.
