Observing and evaluating children's development is one of the important skills in the process of organizing care and education activities in preschools. However, observing children will be more practical when it is linked to the goals of each activity, suitable to each area of the child's development in terms of cognition, language, aesthetics, physical or social emotions... Starting from the reality of organizing teaching activities, to foster and develop necessary professional skills for students, this article focuses on an overview of observation and process observation and proposes some suggestions. The idea is to guide students to practice observing individual children during the process of organizing Recognition-Practicing Speaking activities in kindergarten according to a 3-step process: before, during and after observation. At the same time, the author also affirms that it is important for preschool students to be able to master observation skills and observe the process of preschool children. In addition to basic knowledge and skills, they also need a heart, a love big enough for children and the profession of a preschool teacher.
