Over the past decade, quality accreditation for higher education institutions (HEIs) in Vietnam has undergone two cycles conducted by domestic accreditation agencies, following the quality assessment standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). This process has facilitated the evaluation of policies and practices in science and technology management at HEIs, contributing to improvements in these areas. This study examines the criteria and results of assessing the quality of science and technology management in Vietnam's HEIs according to MOET's standards. It analyzes the strengths and areas for improvement in research management, intellectual property, research collaboration, and research outputs. Additionally, the study offers recommendations for enhancing the quality of science and technology management through the educational quality accreditation mechanism at HEIs.
