Tóm tắt
Childhood emotional abuse (CEA) was highlighted as a major concern, highly likely to link to anxiety, depression, and loneliness. However, no research has explored the connection between CEA and loneliness in Vietnam. To fill this knowledge gap, our study analyzes the relationship between CEA and loneliness among university students in Vietnam. The research shows that emotional abuse can predict loneliness. The results from the study have theoretical and practical implications for understanding and addressing childhood emotional abuse and loneliness. Further research can focus on a more specific analysis of this relationship’s mechanism and psychological pathways to help provide more effective interventions in practice.
