Tóm tắt

The research was conducted in the context of the Mekong Delta region, which faces numerous impacts of climate change and poses an urgent need to enhance awareness and action for sustainable development, particularly in the higher education environment. This study aims to investigate the awareness and behavior of students at universities in the region towards sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Data was collected from 1,004 students through a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS 26 software for descriptive statistics, frequency statistics, and tests of differences in gender, academic year, and major using Chi-square, MannWhitney, and Kruskal-Wallis tests. The results indicate that the majority of students have a positive perception of the goals of sustainable development and the role of universities in their implementation; however, specific knowledge of the SDGs remains limited. Furthermore, sustainable behaviors in practice are not yet frequent, and the integration of this content into training programs is still limited. The research contributes to providing a practical basis for improving higher education curricula towards integrating sustainable development.
