Tóm tắt

In the context of modern education, digital competence has become an essential factor for students' learning and career development. The article proposes a digital competency framework and conducts an assessment of the current status of digital competence of undergraduates majoring in primary education. The study was conducted on 1,199 students and 112 lecturers from 4 higher education institutions nationwide, using a questionnaire delivered via the Google Forms platform. The research results show that Vietnamese primary education undergraduates have average digital competence, some digital competence components associated with professional practice at a basic level do not meet future job requirements. Accordingly, the article proposes a number of recommendations as a basis for devising measures to develop digital competence for primary education undergraduates in subsequent studies.
