Organizing outdoor activities that emphasize learning through play is a crucial requirement in the education of 5-6 year old preschool children, especially as the trend of integrating STEAM (Studying, Learning, and Art) is increasingly gaining attention to enhance experiences, creativity, and the ability to apply knowledge to practice. Research results show that teachers at Preschool have a positive understanding of the significance of outdoor activities for children's holistic development, but the application of STEAM education in organizing activities remains limited due to a lack of facilities, equipment, learning materials, and opportunities for practice. Based on this, the study proposes directions to enhance the application of STEAM education for students, such as improving STEAM competence for teachers, utilizing readily available natural materials, organizing activities according to design and technical procedures, supplementing simple learning materials, and improving the outdoor experiential environment. This research contributes to providing further evidence regarding the context of preschools in mountainous areas, while also suggesting the need to enhance professional development and support the conditions for organizing outdoor activities.
