Military education is a subject with high pedagogical nature, helping to form and develop students’ knowledge and skills in training and educating soldiers, contributing to perfecting the personality of soldiers, pedagogical culture of military cadres. The content of the article clarifies a number of concepts and the necessity of lesson design in Military Education at the Political Academy in the direction of active teaching, thereby proposing a number of requirements in the lesson design of this subject such as: innovation in design objectives, content and design methods; strengthening practical content in the lecture structure in association with training objectives and requirements; attaching importance to the interaction of lecturers in lesson design, especially pedagogical situations, increasing practical applicability and innovating testing and assessment, contributing to the formation of pedagogical skills for students, improving the quality of subject teaching at Political Academy today. The research results help the training management agency, the faculty of pedagogy and the lecturers to apply and improve teaching quality of Military Education at the Political Academy in the current period.
