The context of educational innovation and many changes in society today requires school administrators not only to be proficient in their profession but also to have leadership capacity with teachers and non-teaching staff to encourage them to overcome barriers to change successfully and achieve target work performance. Based on different research approaches, the article, on the one hand, addresses the relationship between motivation and employees’ work performance and the structural model of work motivation from an integrated point of view. On the other hand, it clarifies the relationship between the conduct of management and leadership roles of the head of the organization with the task of motivation promotion for employees in organizations in general and in educational institutions in particular. On the basis of the analysis, the article makes recommendations for the head of the organization in coordinating the implementation of Leadership and Management roles in order to improve the performance of individual staff in particular and the organization as a whole.
