Organizational culture and management in universities have a close relationship with each other. This study takes a closer look at the relationship between organizational culture and university management at the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The article uses a survey questionnaire to collect data by quantitative method. The total number of survey participants is 466 people including 228 managers and 238 lecturers selected from a simple random sampling method. The data were analyzed using SPSS 20 software for 1) exploratory factor analysis; 2) Correlation analysis; 3) multiple linear regression between variables. The results show that: organizational culture has a positive impact on university management at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The article discusses the impact of organizational culture in universities according to the organizational culture model of Denison (1990) with four characteristics namely participation, consistency, adaptability and mission. In addition, the author also proposes some managerial implications to improve organizational culture in universities.
