Tóm tắt

3D printing technology is gaining in popularity and application in a number of different fields and topics in education in general and mathematics education in particular. Thanks to this technology, the concepts and abstract properties of mathematics can be clearly visualized  and easily touched with the learner's own senses. This study presents some experimental results of applying 3D printing technology in facilitating teaching the topic “volume of a solid of revolution” (Math 12). The research results showed that the students were very interested in performing mathematical tasks using 3D printing models; they could perform the measurements and calculations on real samples, thereby understanding their characteristics, discovering the properties and solving the problems.
