In today's educational context, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching National Defense and Security Education in high schools has become a prominent trend. AI not only brings new teaching methods but also contributes to creating a more flexible, effective and attractive learning environment for students. Technologies such as ChatGPT, Infographics and Virtual Reality (VR) facilitate the transmission of knowledge in a vivid way, thereby stimulating students' interest and motivation to learn. Based on the theoretical basis, the article analyzes the opportunities and challenges in the process of applying artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching National Defense and Security Education. The flexibility in integrating AI into the curriculum will allow teachers and students to fully exploit the potential of technology, promote outstanding advantages in improving education quality, build a comprehensive and sustainable education system, and meet the learning and independent development needs of each individual in society.
