Thực trạng dạy học môn Giáo dục công dân toàn cầu tại các trường trung học cơ sở thuộc hệ thống giáo dục Vinschool trên địa bàn thành phố Hà Nội

In the context of globalization and international integration, Global Citizenship Education (GCED) has become an essential educational component, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to become responsible citizens who are prepared for global engagement. In Vietnam, while GCED content is currently integrated into the curricula of public schools, the Vinschool Education System has taken a pioneering role in introducing GCED as a standalone subject. This study employed a mixed-methods approach, including a questionnaire survey of 40 administrators and teachers and in-depth interviews with 20 participants. The findings indicate that the teaching of GCED in secondary schools within the Vinschool Education System in Hanoi demonstrates notable strengths in curriculum design, educational facilities, and the application of active teaching methods. However, limitations remain in fostering critical thinking and leadership skills, employing diverse assessment approaches, and localizing learning materials. The study provides insights into the current state of GCED teaching within a private school system. The findings serve as a basis for the Vinschool Education System to further enhance the quality of GCED instruction and offer valuable references for other schools seeking to implement GCED content or introduce it as a standalone subject.
