The university selection decision for graduate programs depends on different factors. This study investigates the university selection of postgraduate students at the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The author conducted a survey of 401 full-time postgraduate students in 5 collegiate universities of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The empirical results indicated that the postgraduate students had different reasons for pursuing postgraduate programs; participants generally confirmed the influence of the factors selected in the survey on their university selection. Moreover, the study also showed that marketing and communication factors had a positive influence on university selection decisions of postgraduate students. This is a scientific and practical basis for managers and stakeholders in devising appropriate policies and campaigns to attract students to their postgraduate programs.
