In the process of teaching and learning foreign languages in general and the English language in particular, pronunciation always plays an important role. Stemming from that fact, the researchers conducted a study on the factors affecting pronunciation skills of first-year non-English major students at the University of Labor - Social Affairs. The research results show that the factor of Instruction has the strongest impact on the English pronunciation skills of the first-year non-English majored students, followed by their Phonological ability, Surrounding environment, Motivation and finally, the Attitude factor also had a significant impact. On that basis, some recommendations are made to improve students' pronunciation skills, and at the same time contribute to improving the quality of teaching English modules in schools.
