In the context that the world is entering the “ocean era”, education for the law on national sovereignty, territory, and territorial waters is essential. The goal of this article is to understand the current situation of legal education activities on the sea and islands for Naval Academy students. Research data were collected from survey results of 106 managers, lecturers and 327 students of the Naval Academy; data were processed using SPSS 22.0 statistical software. Research results show that managers, lecturers and students are correctly aware of the meaning and importance of legal education activities on the sea and islands for students; however, there is still a part of managers, lecturers and students have insufficient awareness of legal education activities on the sea and islands for Naval Academy students. The effectiveness of using methods and forms of organizing legal education activities on the sea and islands for Naval Academy students has not met students' expectations. Therefore, management entities need to improve the effectiveness of legal education activities on the sea and islands for Naval Academy students to meet current educational innovation requirements.
