Tóm tắt

Compared to historical resources permanently displayed in traditional museums, digital resources on museum websites not only maintain their reliability but also have outstanding advantages such as: easy access, no space limitations, multi-interaction, creating a modern teaching environment and an environment for developing critical and creative thinking skills for students. However, compared to many advanced educational systems in the world, exploiting this digital resource in teaching History in Vietnamese high schools is still a “big gap” in both theoretical research and practical implementation. In that context, the article emphasizes (1) the characteristics of developing critical thinking skills in teaching History; (2) the advantages of digital resources on museum websites in teaching and developing critical thinking skills for students; (3) proposing ways and measures to develop critical and creative thinking skills for students. These are also suggestions for research on the current status of exploiting digital resources on museum websites to propose and experiment with more convincing and creative usage measures. Exploiting digital museum resources in teaching History is an inevitable teaching trend in the digital age, contributing to creating a revolution in teaching and developing History competencies, including the goal of developing critical thinking skills for students.
